Skin Boosters & Bioremodelling
Profhilo in Lincolnshire
Profhilo is a very high concentration of pure hyaluronic acid, made without the chemical cross-linking used in dermal fillers. That difference is the whole point: instead of staying where it is injected and creating volume, it spreads through the tissue over 24 to 48 hours and acts on the skin itself.
It is placed at five fixed points on each side of the face, which takes about fifteen minutes.
Who it suits
It suits skin that has become dry, dull or slightly lax — most commonly from the late thirties onwards — across the lower face, the neck, the décolletage or the hands. It is a good first injectable treatment for someone who does not want to look treated.
It does not suit anyone hoping to fill a specific line or restore volume in a hollow area, and it will not tighten skin that has lost significant elasticity. It is also not suitable directly under the eyes.
The treatment protocol
Two sessions, four weeks apart. That is the protocol — a single session will not give you the result, and any clinic selling you one without explaining that is not being straight with you.
After the initial two, most people repeat every six months. Some go longer.
Each session takes about fifteen minutes. Small raised bumps appear at each injection point and settle within a few hours. There is no meaningful downtime.
When you'll see it
Nothing much in the first two weeks. Hydration improves first, then firmness builds gradually over six to eight weeks after the second session.
This is a treatment you notice in photographs and in the way makeup sits, rather than in the mirror on any particular morning.
What it costs
£200 per session. The full initial protocol is two sessions, so £400. Maintenance is a single session at £200 roughly every six months.
We publish the total rather than the per-session figure because the per-session figure on its own is misleading.

Common questions
Is Profhilo a filler?
No. It is hyaluronic acid, but it is not cross-linked, so it spreads through the tissue rather than staying where it is placed. It improves hydration, firmness and skin quality. It does not add volume and it will not fill a line.
How many Profhilo sessions do I need?
Two, four weeks apart, to complete the initial protocol — then usually one every six months. A single session will not give you the result, and any clinic quoting you for one without explaining that is not being straight with you.
When will I see results?
Very little in the first fortnight. Hydration improves first, then firmness builds over six to eight weeks after the second session. It is a treatment you notice in photographs rather than in the mirror on a particular morning.
How much does the full course cost?
£200 per session, so £400 for the initial two-session protocol, then £200 for each maintenance session roughly every six months. We publish the total because the per-session figure on its own is misleading.
Can Profhilo be used under the eyes?
No. Profhilo is not placed directly under the eyes. For thin or crepey skin there, polynucleotides are the better option, though neither will fill a hollow.
Can I have Profhilo on my neck, décolletage or hands?
Yes. Those areas are £200 a session, the same as the face, with the same course of two sessions four weeks apart.
What does the first year of Profhilo cost?
£600. That is £400 for the course of two, then one £200 maintenance session about six months later: the session price added up.
What will I look like straight after?
There are small raised bumps at each injection point, which settle within a few hours, and you might bruise. If you have an event coming up, mention it at your consultation so your sessions can be planned around it.
Who will treat me?
Alicia Marsland, the clinic's nurse prescriber. Injectable treatments are with her, every session.
