Lines & Wrinkles Consultations

Consultations for frown and forehead lines

The vertical lines between the eyebrows and the horizontal lines across the forehead are the two things people most often want to discuss when they first come to a clinic.

We cannot advertise the medicines that might be used to treat them — UK law does not permit it. We can assess you, explain what is happening, and talk you through every option in person.

Why these lines form

Two things create them. Repeated muscle movement folds the skin in the same place thousands of times, and the skin itself gradually loses the elasticity that let it spring back.

That distinction matters. A line that disappears when your face is at rest is being driven mainly by movement. A line still visible when your face is completely relaxed has become established in the skin, and will respond only partially to anything that addresses movement.

We will show you which of yours is which.

What happens at your consultation

  1. Medical history, current medication, previous treatments and any allergies.

  2. Assessment of your face at rest and in movement, with standardised photographs.

  3. Discussion of what is causing the lines that concern you and what can realistically change.

  4. All appropriate options set out, including those that do not involve injectables.

  5. If a prescription-only medicine is clinically appropriate, that is discussed with you individually at this point — as a private clinical conversation, which is the only lawful place for it.

  6. No obligation to proceed

You can go away and think about it.
